1 NGO national staff of a UN partner organization kidnapped and later shot dead in Mogadishu. Not clear why targeted, but local sources said a deputy had survived a hand grenade attack over the weekend in Afgoye, a town 30km south of Mogadishu. There were unconfirmed reports that the killing might be linked to a financial dispute. Means of attack recorded as kidnap-killing. Source: Aid Worker Security Database, incident 615.
