One aid worker killed in Surkh Rod

1 UN national staff contract worker in Surkh Rod district of Nangarhar province in eastern Afghanistan, was shot dead in front of elders at a meeting on 26 November of the local shura at Lower Sheikh Mesri, a temporary settlement for returnees. The murderer has not been identified and reasons for the attack remain unclear. The victim was active on women's causes. Means of attack recorded as shooting. Context individual attack.
