One NRCS staff member was wounded when assailants opened fire on the NRCS vehicle, which was traveling in Ruqa, Garissa County. The team was traveling Masalani to Ijara to conduct assessments on projects that they were implementing in the towns. The shots came from the bush. The injured staff member was evacuated to Malindi for further treatment. The rest of the team were not physically injured and received psychosocial support. Means of attack recorded as shooting.
