Save the Children staff killed in Christmas Eve massacre

Two Save the Children staff were among at least 35 people killed on a highway in Kayah State in an attack the organisation attributed to the Myanmar military. The bodies were burned along with the vehicles. Both men were new fathers travelling back to their office after humanitarian work in a nearby community. Save the Children withheld their names for security reasons and suspended operations in Kayah State and several other regions.
