Two aid workers kidnapped in Lowgar

2 INGO national staff (driver and a skilled staffer) were snatched from the Baraki Barak district while travelling to Kabul. The two workers had completed a water and sanitation project in Logar when kidnapped by an armed gang Sunday. That the kidnappers had not made very specific demands but the main motive behind the abduction was ransom. The aid group was holding talks with the kidnappers through local elders but it would not pay a ransom. Means of attack recorded as kidnapping. Context ambush.
