About the UniPods AI Solutions for Africa Program
The UniPods AI Solutions for Africa Program is a twelve-month learning initiative that focuses on building Africa’s next generation of AI innovators. The programme educates people on how to use academic instruction and product development to transform ideas into solutions.
There are different phases in this program. The first phase provides foundational AI and data science training using an internationally recognised curriculum developed in collaboration with the University of Tokyo. Topics at this phase are Python programming, machine learning fundamentals and business applications of artificial intelligence.
The second phase provides learning on hybrid training, where participants begin designing AI solutions tailored to African contexts. Selected participants will move into an in-person incubation residency at an AI UniPod hub. This is where projects will be refined with expert mentorship and technical guidance. The final phase will talk about market readiness and how attendees can scale their solutions for real-world usage.
The programme will improve Africa’s digital economy by allowing young innovators to build locally relevant AI products across all sectors.
