The grant program is offered in two distinct categories: project micro grants, which focus on conservation projects that bring nature journaling to underserved communities. Club micro grant, on the other hand, supports small organisations that also focus on nature journaling and the creation of more clubs. The micro grant awards provide from 300 to 1,250 USD, and the timeline for completion is set for 9 months from when the award is issued. The grant program awards between 12 to 15 project grants each year to successful applicants.

Application Process

  • Visit the official application website and review the project micro-grant application worksheet. 
  • Submit the application stating name, email, phone, and region of the project. 
  • Applicants should write 300 words on their nature journaling background and experience, why they qualify and need the grant support. 
  • Brief summary of the project, not more than 2 sentences. 
  • Include a 500-word narrative of what the project entails, and if there are going to be any collaborations with other organisations. 
  • Write a timeline of the project, not more than 250 words and include a 200-word summary of the number of people the project will reach. 
  • Include the name, email address, time zones and phone numbers of two professional references. 
  • Include the budget for the project and the grant amount requested.
  • Selection stages: Wild Wonder Micro Grant Program offers two distinct micro grant categories, and these are:
  • Project Micro Grant: This grant focuses on conservation programs and projects that bring nature journaling to communities and individuals. 
  • Club Micro Grant: This grant supports organisations around the world that focus on the growth of nature journaling clubs.
