The Embassy of France Small Grants Program is a community-first funding initiative that puts French diplomatic resources directly behind civil society organizations working on the ground across the Eastern Caribbean. Now in its annual cycle for 2026, the programme funds innovative, locally driven projects in a region where development challenges intersect with environmental vulnerability, cultural diversity, and the ongoing legacies of colonialism and economic inequality.
About the France Embassy Small Grants Program
Administered by the Department of Cooperation and Cultural Action (SCAC) at the Embassy of France, the programme covers civil society organizations operating across the Eastern Caribbean, including Barbados and the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) member countries. The programme has been running for several years and has consistently focused on projects that are locally designed, practically oriented, and capable of generating real social, cultural, environmental, or economic benefit. Projects that integrate gender equality, promote regional cooperation, or establish concrete partnerships with France’s overseas Caribbean territories receive additional consideration during review.
