The OBC Collective Development Fund Grant Programme is an initiative of the Open Book Collective OBC, a UK-registered charity. The focus of the foundation is to improve access to education by increasing access to open-access scholarly books (academic materials) and research. The grants also support publishers and infrastructure providers to boost the quantity, quality, and diversity of open-access books.
The grant is funded by publisher members and other supports and the program offers a grant amount of up to £15,000. The Open Book Collective also allocates 5% of the supporter programme revenue from subscriber contributions to the Collective Development Fund.
