State DeafBlind Projects Grant 2026 – Apply Now

The State Technical Assistance Projects to Improve Services and Results for DeafBlind Children grant funds the establishment and operation of dedicated State DeafBlind Projects across eight U.S. states. The programme supports education agencies, service providers, teachers, and families in addressing the educational, transitional, and early intervention needs of children who are DeafBlind, with the goal of improving their communication skills, academic access, and long-term readiness for postsecondary education and employment.

Administered by the Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services (OSERS) within the U.S. Department of Education, this grant operates under the Technical Assistance and Dissemination to Improve Services and Results for Children with Disabilities programme (ALN 84.326T), authorised under 20 U.S.C. 1462, 1463 and 1481 of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).

  • A state may be served by only one supported project

  • Restricted to the following eight states: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Oregon, Vermont, Washington, and Wisconsin

Applicants must first be registered in both SAM.gov and Grants.gov before submitting. Complete proposals must be submitted electronically through the Grants.gov APPLY function. Consortium applicants must ensure each member state receives services consistent with its identified funding level.
