For the past eighteen years, Giving Hearts Day has raised funds from local charities with an impressive total sum of $195 million, $29 million of which was earned from last year’s Giving Hearts Day alone. The initiative is organized by Dakota Medical Foundation, which is also responsible for ensuring its continued growth in scale by making sure that charities start preparing months in advance to help them meet their targets.

Pat Traynor, the executive director of DMF, stated that hundreds of training sessions and online meetings are held to train the charities in maximizing their efforts.
“The entire team can barely sleep because they’re so excited. Their excitement stems from the fact that the team worked round the clock to support participating organizations,” he noted.
