About the Einstein Fellowship
The Einstein Fellowship is managed by the Einstein Forum in partnership with the Wittgenstein Foundation. The fellowship promotes intellectual curiosity across disciplines in an effort to make a positive change.
The residency takes place in Caputh, Brandenburg, Germany, where fellows stay until the program ends. The location provides a quiet environment close to major academic institutions in Potsdam and Berlin. This allows fellows to concentrate on their projects in an educational community. They can visit the library and access educational resources.
During the fellowship period, participants work on their project independently. Before the end of their stay, they will present their work in a public lecture at the Einstein Forum. The fellowship is not about completing dissertation research, as proposed projects must be different from previous academic work.
