The UAPS and AIR P3 Africa Fellowship is an opportunity for African doctoral researchers to receive the financial backing, skills training, and expert guidance needed to advance high-impact population and health research on the continent.
About the UAPS and AIR P3 Africa Fellowship Program
Jointly administered by the Union for African Population Studies (UAPS) and the American Institutes for Research (AIR), the fellowship is a direct evolution of the earlier AfRes-Data Fellowship, which ran two successful cohorts before expanding into the current P3-Africa model. The program is built around the conviction that African-led, locally grounded research produces the most relevant and durable evidence for shaping health and population policy across the continent.
