About the France Embassy Small Grants Program
Administered by the Department of Cooperation and Cultural Action (SCAC) at the Embassy of France, the programme covers civil society organizations operating across the Eastern Caribbean, including Barbados and the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) member countries. The programme has been running for several years and has consistently focused on projects that are locally designed, practically oriented, and capable of generating real social, cultural, environmental, or economic benefit. Projects that integrate gender equality, promote regional cooperation, or establish concrete partnerships with France’s overseas Caribbean territories receive additional consideration during review.

Funding Size
- Maximum grant: up to €5,000 per project
- Grant covers up to 85% of total project costs
- Funds converted into the local currency of the recipient’s country
- Eligible costs include training, equipment, light infrastructure, materials, transportation, per diem, trainer fees, seminars, communication activities, and project supplies
Who Can Apply
- Community-based organizations and civil society groups registered and operating in eligible Eastern Caribbean countries
- Local NGOs, community associations, and nonprofit entities with a track record of locally led activity
- Projects must be designed and led primarily by local partners with strong community involvement throughout
Geographic Eligibility
- Eastern Caribbean region only, including Barbados and OECS member states
- Projects integrating partnerships with French overseas Caribbean territories are given additional consideration

Application Process
Applications are submitted by email to teamscac@gmail.com using the official application template. Organizations should contact the SCAC office ahead of submission to confirm eligibility and obtain the current application form and guidelines.

- Supporting documentation demonstrating organizational registration and community mandate
- Any letters of partnership or collaboration where applicable
